Railway Police (Železničná polícia)
- The independent Slovak Republic was established on the 1st January 1993.
- In the same year the present Railway Police was found transforming from the previous Federal Railway Security in the Slovak Republic.
- The Railway Police was subordinated to the Ministry of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications of the Slovak Republic, and since 1st April 2009 it is subordinated to the Ministry of Interior as the Police Force.
- The Railway Police performs its tasks according to the Act No. 57/1998 Coll. on the Railway Police wording the latest amendments.
- Its organization does not copy the regional administration structure of the Slovak Republic, but it is equivalent to the railway network.
